Battalion Commanding Officer

C/ Cap McClain has been a part of the MCJROTC since his junior year. Although he joined later in his high school career, he managed to become a member of the YPFT, drill, and cybersecurity teams. Still participates in parades, community service, and leadership opportunities. His potential and persona allowed him to progress through the ranks. By the end of his junior year he was a 1st Lt and was appointed to the XO billet. Cadet McClain not only demonstrated success in the program, but also managed to serve in other roles such as the Principal Leadership Committee, Captains Club, National Honors Society, and even run both indoor and outdoor Track and Field - while still maintaining a 4.3 GPA.

 

C/ McClain’s plans include attending a four-year service academy to major in cyber security. However, as a backup plan he will use an Army ROTC scholarship to put him through a four-year university in which he will receive a bachelors in computer

science/ information technology. Where he will then commission as an officer and serve in the United States Military. 

C/ 1stLt. Rayhart

Battalion Executive Officer

C/ 1st Lt Rayhart  has been in the MCJROTC program for four years. He is an honor roll student who was a member of the football team for his first three years of school and is part of the Vex Robotics team. His plans after high school are to start working full time for the local United States Coast Guard shipyard as an electrician. 

C/ 1stSgt. Sulonen

Battalion Sergeant Major 

Cadet First Sergeant Sulonen is the Acting Sergeant Major in the MCJROTC at Northeast High School.  He participates and leads in many clubs consisting, the Drill Team, Color Guard,  Academic Bowl, YPFT, and previously was in the Drum and Bugle Corps.  He has been an outstanding cadet in the program and shows leadership.  His plans after high school include going to the Naval Academy or NROTC college, and joining the Marine Corps as an Officer.

C/ Sgt. Gasca

Color Sergeant

Cadet Sgt Gasca has been in the MCJROTC program for over one year. Gasca is involved in several JROTC teams such as Drill, Color Guard, YPFT, and JLAB. Her post secondary plans include attending collage to pursue a bachelor degree in biology.
